SERVER RULES

Fair play, competitive Rust, and a clean Solo/Duo community.

SOLO / DUO — MAXIMUM TEAM SIZE: 2 The team limit applies to roaming, farming, raiding, defending, base sharing, and every other form of coordinated gameplay.

RESPECT & HARASSMENT

Hate speech, racism, sexism, severe harassment, threats, and extreme toxicity toward players or staff are prohibited. Excessive chat spam may also result in punishment.

CHEATING

Cheats, hacks, scripts, macros, unauthorized software, or any external tool used to gain an unfair advantage are strictly forbidden. Cheating may result in a permanent ban.

BAN EVASION

Do not bypass a RustyGrin or EAC punishment with alternate accounts. Attempts to evade a ban may result in permanent action against all related accounts.

STREAM SNIPING

Using a live stream to locate, track, attack, or gain information about another player is prohibited. Streamers are expected to use reasonable protection such as delays or streamer mode.

ADVERTISING

Advertising or promoting other Rust servers, competing communities, unauthorized services, or real-money offers through RustyGrin channels is not allowed.

SOLO / DUO TEAM LIMIT

A maximum of two players may operate together. You may not roam, raid, defend, share a base, transfer resources, or coordinate attacks with additional players.

TRADING & TEAMING

Normal item-for-item trading is allowed, but trades must not be used to secretly support a larger team. Giving valuable items for almost nothing to bypass the team limit is considered teaming.

TEAM CHANGES

If a player permanently leaves a duo, remove their bags and beds, remove their TC authorization, and change relevant door and storage codes. A departed player may not return to the same team during the remainder of the wipe.

BASE & LOOT GIVEAWAYS

A player or duo that permanently leaves for the rest of the wipe may give away its base and loot. Returning to play with the new occupants afterward is treated as a team-limit violation.

EXPLOITS & GLITCHES

Do not use bugs or unintended mechanics for an advantage. This includes getting outside the intended map or building system, creating inaccessible bases, or abusing any exploit that bypasses normal gameplay.

STEAM ACCOUNT & VPN POLICY

RustyGrin may restrict high-risk or suspicious Steam accounts. VPNs, proxies, and connection services used to disguise identity or bypass server restrictions may be blocked at staff discretion.

STAFF RESPECT

Staff decisions and investigations must be handled respectfully. Do not argue with staff in-game; use the official support or ticket system for questions and appeals.

HONESTY & FALSE REPORTS

Do not intentionally lie to staff, submit fabricated reports, manipulate evidence, or deliberately mislead an investigation.

STAFF NON-INTERFERENCE

Staff will not normally interfere with organic gameplay. Items, loot, structures, or progression lost through normal bugs, crashes, restarts, or player mistakes are not automatically refundable.

COMMON SENSE & STAFF DISCRETION

Do not search for loopholes around the rules. Any action that clearly creates an unfair advantage, bypasses the intended Solo/Duo experience, or deliberately harms the community may be punished even if the exact situation is not listed word-for-word.

RustyGrin is a gaming community focused on a clean, competitive Rust experience for solo and duo players. Our goal is to keep the server simple, active, and easy to follow while giving players a real voice in the next wipe through community map voting.

Use RustyGrin services lawfully and do not attempt to damage, overload, bypass, or interfere with the website, API, accounts, or community systems.

ACCOUNTS & LINKING

Account linking is provided to connect supported platforms. Keep your platform accounts secure and do not attempt to impersonate another player or access another account.

MAP VOTING

Map votes are intended for genuine community participation. Automated, fraudulent, or abusive voting may be removed or restricted.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

RustyGrin may link to or use third-party services such as Discord, Steam, RustMaps, and the store. Their own terms and policies may also apply.

SERVICE AVAILABILITY

Server status, schedules, maps, and website features may change or become temporarily unavailable during maintenance, technical work, or security events.

CHANGES

RustyGrin may update these terms, website features, or community rules when needed. The current version published on the website is the version that applies.
